Hunter Valley Wine Country is only a 2-hour drive from Sydney or an hour from Newcastle and is a great place for a weekend getaway, especially for those who enjoy good food and wine. The Hunter Valley has over 150 wineries and an abundance of restaurants for your enjoyment. There are also many other activities in the area to enjoy as well.
Being based in Newcastle we have been able to take full advantage of this great wine region and we have made several overnight and weekend visits to the region.
On one of our weekend visits, we decided the best way to visit a number of wineries was to take in a local tour. We went on a day tour with Two Fat Blokes Tours taking in 5 wineries and local Brew House. You can read more about that day on our blog.

Are you still operating in the Hunter?
According to her website she is no longer operating in Lovedale. She has a small studio in Newcastle which is not open as of yet. I recommend going to her website and sending her a message direct. There is a link on the right side of this blog.
